Hello, I'm Bek.
I'm a multidisciplinary engineer currently working as an Automation Engineer in Minneapolis. I build software and automation solutions that enable users to control devices and equipment through friendly graphical user interfaces on tablets, smartphones, and desktops.
I hold a master's degree in Computer Science from the USA and Electrical Engineering from Germany. I spent nearly five years in Germany as a graduate student, which taught me to adapt quickly, communicate across languages, and perform at the top of my class in a new environment.
Skills and Technologies :
Automation and Controls :
On a daily basis, I develop automation systems and software interfaces (HMI/GUI) that control devices remotely. I primarily program in Python, JavaScript, and React to build user interfaces. My goal is to create control systems that are easy to use and easy to maintain.
Data Engineering :
Automation systems generate data, and I spend a significant amount of time designing and implementing reliable, automated data workflows and pipelines to handle data. I use Python, MQTT, AWS services, and Power BI to build monitoring, analysis, and visualization solutions. I also automate environment setup and system configuration using Docker and scripting, making systems scalable, reproducible, and easy to deploy.
